This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Evaluate and analyze workers' compensation claims to identify potential subrogation opportunities.
• Carry out thorough investigations to establish third-party liability using accident reports, witness statements, medical documentation, and other relevant evidence.
• Manage an active caseload of around 200+ claim files, ensuring prompt and precise file documentation, diary updates, email and correspondence reviews, and task completion.
• Work in partnership with clients to deliver updates, recommendations, and recovery strategies that align with established authority levels and settlement guidelines.
• Negotiate settlements with third parties, attorneys, and insurance carriers, safeguarding client interests while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Function autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team to meet recovery objectives and achieve organizational targets.
• Stay proficient with internal systems and tracking tools to oversee case progress and reporting.
• Keep updated on state-specific workers’ compensation and subrogation regulations, particularly in Florida and other designated jurisdictions.
• Offer guidance and assistance to junior team members or participate in cross-functional projects as required.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to workers’ compensation subrogation.
• Demonstrated experience handling Florida workers’ compensation claims; multi-state experience is advantageous.
• Previous experience within a subrogation unit or recovery department is preferred.
• Experience working directly with legal counsel and third-party administrators is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of subrogation processes, legal principles, and negotiation strategies.
• Proven ability to analyze claim documentation, recognize recovery potential, and facilitate timely resolutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a high-volume caseload.
• Professional, consultative approach with the capability to build productive working relationships.
