
Subcontractor Helideck Inspector – Netherlands

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Conduct inspections of helidecks in accordance with relevant aviation standards (e.g., CAP 437).
• Carry out helideck friction testing and analyze the results.
• Evaluate helideck infrastructure, including markings, lighting, safety equipment, and overall operational readiness.
• Create comprehensive inspection reports that detail findings, limitations, and recommendations.
• Provide support for and potentially lead aviation operator audits as necessary.
• Review Safety Management Systems (SMS) and operational procedures when relevant.
• Serve as a technical liaison between SGS and client representatives.
• Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Comply rigorously with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
• At least 10 years of experience in the aviation field.
• Proven experience in helideck inspections or in offshore/onshore aviation settings.
• Familiarity with helideck standards (e.g., CAP 437) is highly advantageous.
• Experience with aviation audits (e.g., BARS, operator audits) is a plus.
• Preference for candidates with experience in European aviation regulatory frameworks.
• A formal aviation qualification is a strict requirement.
• Training in SMS and/or audit processes is advantageous.
• A valid or previously held Pilot Licence (preferably ATPL or CPL) OR a valid or previously held Licensed Aeronautical Maintenance Engineer (AME).
• Competitive subcontractor rates that are negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
