This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Communicate the Advantages of Study Abroad β Inspire and educate U.S. high school students and their legal guardians about the transformative benefits of studying abroad.
β’ Engage and Inspire Candidates β Utilize a structured sales outreach process to actively connect with students and families through phone, text, and email, aiming to convert leads into open applications.
β’ Support Students Throughout the Application Journey β Provide guidance and assistance during the scholarship and application process, helping families overcome barriers to participation.
β’ Deliver Outstanding Customer Service β Provide professional and timely support to students and parents from the initial inquiry through program acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure preparations.
β’ Handle a High Volume of Calls β Consistently exceed 30 calls per day (resulting in over 500 minutes of talk time each week), adjusting outreach focus based on spikes in application volume and high-potential territories.
β’ Host Virtual Information Sessions β Lead large-group presentations for students and parents, including some evening sessions.
β’ Present at In-Person Gatherings β Visit high schools to engage with students and families, which may require occasional domestic travel.
β’ Review Applications and Approve Acceptances β Assess applications for eligibility, approve acceptances, and convert applicants into confirmed, paid participants.
β’ Manage Participant Financials β Ensure precise financial records, follow up on payments, and resolve any discrepancies.
β’ Utilize Salesforce for Managing Pipeline β Track and manage applicants, maintain accurate communication records, and work towards enrollment objectives in our CRM system, Salesforce.
β’ Provide Support for Summer Programs β Assist participants while they are enrolled in programs.
β’ Aid Recruitment Initiatives β Travel domestically as needed to promote programs and represent the organization at school events.
β’ Accompany International Student Flights β Travel with student groups on flights up to once a year.
β’ Engage in Continuous Training β Participate in sales and professional development sessions to enhance effectiveness and foster professional growth.
β’ Adapt to a Flexible Work Schedule β Some evening hours are required to accommodate students and guardians.
β’ Provide Emergency Travel Assistance β Be available for 1β2 travel weekends per year to help with urgent situations.
β’ Demonstrate High Adaptability β This role does not have assigned territories and requires flexibility to support different regions and team needs as priorities change.
β’ Oversee Pipeline Management β Step in when other Coordinators are at in-school presentations or on PTO to ensure continuity of outreach.
β’ Support Seasonal Staff β Monitor sales calls and provide coaching to enhance the effectiveness of seasonal employees.
β’ Assist with Onboarding and Training β Support the Conversion Coach in onboarding and ongoing training of new hires. Perform other duties as assigned.
β’ Bachelor's degree or an international equivalent.
β’ A minimum of two years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
β’ Experience working with diverse high school students is an advantage.
β’ International travel or study abroad experience is a plus.
β’ Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a plus.
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with students and families and tailor communication to various audiences.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Capability to navigate challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
β’ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
β’ Comfort with making high-volume outbound calls and engaging with customers via phone, email, and text.
β’ Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) is a plus.
β’ Willingness to work some evening hours, weekends, and travel domestically and internationally as needed to support students and families.
