This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Prepare, oversee, and negotiate renewals for all group benefit plans with fewer than 50 lives.
• Evaluate claims experience, plan performance, and historical rates.
• Suggest modifications to plan designs and strategies for cost control.
• Collaborate with Account Executives by providing insights on renewals.
• Clearly present and communicate renewal outcomes to advisors.
• Monitor internal systems and tools to ensure accurate capture of renewal information.
• Work together with internal teams, including underwriting and operations.
• Fully bilingual in French and English.
• Familiarity with underwriting concepts and principles.
• Awareness of current trends within the group benefits sector.
• College or university degree, or equivalent experience in the industry.
• CEBS Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation or the ability to obtain it within three years.
• Strong skills in negotiation and conflict management.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Good understanding of group life and health products as well as underwriting practices.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in PC tools, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).
