Stress Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct analyses and reviews utilizing hand calculations in accordance with OEM and DoD stress methodologies and industry standards.

• Initiate intricate repairs and prepare static strength and fatigue analyses for engineering repair dispositions addressing nonconforming aircraft structures.

• Oversee project elements including setting task priorities, scheduling and monitoring work assignments, offering guidance, and ensuring resource availability.

• Exhibit creativity and adaptability in daily tasks by leveraging experience and judgment to strategize and achieve objectives.

• Utilize Finite Element Software pre and post-processors like Nastran/Patran and Femap.

• Create reports that illustrate designs and meet all pertinent design requirements.

• Offer oversight and technical mentorship to junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in airframe analysis.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from a U.S. accredited institution.

• Preference for degrees in mechanical or aerospace engineering.

• Capability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-motivation.

• Practical understanding of aircraft static strength analysis techniques, finite element analysis, and strain life fatigue methodologies.

• Familiarity with maintenance and repair practices prevalent in the aerospace sector.

• Experience in designing and validating aircraft repairs.
