Strategy & Operations Manager – Senior Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with customers - dedicate approximately half of your time engaging directly with commercial leaders in the medical device sector and market access executive stakeholders to brainstorm, define, and implement analytical deliverables that tackle their most critical commercial inquiries.

• Manage client deliverables - spearhead projects from the initial problem identification to the final output, creating presentations, frameworks, whitepapers, and data narratives specifically designed for senior executives in the device manufacturing industry.

• Represent Turquoise Health in the industry - participate in events and conferences, cultivate relationships with industry analysts, and work with marketing to craft messaging and content that resonates with medical device purchasers.

• Propel cross-functional initiatives - act as a liaison among Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success; oversee high-priority projects from start to finish, ensuring team alignment, clear accountability, and timely execution.

• Transform data into commercial and product strategy - turn raw analyses into actionable insights related to pricing, market access, contracting, markup benchmarking, and net cost recovery analysis at the provider level.

• Navigate the device reimbursement landscape - assess procedure-level rates, implant economics, distinctions between hospital and ASC settings, and payer dynamics to address critical questions for a Chief Commercial Officer.

• Conduct market and competitive intelligence - track MedTech industry trends, FDA approvals, the reimbursement code lifecycle, payer coverage policies, and competitor actions; provide concise briefs that guide commercial and product strategies.

• Collaborate with senior leadership - function as a trusted advisor to Market Solutions leadership regarding growth strategies, account prioritization, and the development of the medical device portfolio.

• Develop top-tier internal deliverables - design frameworks, abstracts, and strategic narratives that distill complex healthcare data into clear internal recommendations for commercial and product decision-making.

• Utilize analytical resources for medical device clients - extract, transform, and synthesize data from price transparency, claims, and partner datasets to reveal commercial-grade insights for both implantable and non-implantable device categories.

• Identify and resolve data discrepancies - ensure dataset integrity, critically evaluate methodologies, and document the assumptions behind every number presented to clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in management consulting (strong preference for medical device commercialization and market access topics) or similar experience at a prominent medical device firm.

• In-depth understanding of the medical device sector - familiar with the commercialization lifecycle, go-to-market strategies, market access, contracting, GPO/IDN dynamics, and relevant commercial KPIs.

• Proficiency in device reimbursement processes and revenue cycle management including billing, coding, reimbursement - knowledge of implantable versus non-implantable economics, hospital versus ASC payment methodologies, and the impact of payer coverage policies on device adoption.

• Strong technical skills - ability to extract data directly (SQL or equivalent), derive insights, and identify and rectify data discrepancies independently.

• Practical experience with healthcare data - familiarity with price transparency, claims, hospital, or payer datasets is highly advantageous.

• An analytical and strategic mindset coupled with outstanding organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to provide thoughtful, actionable recommendations and swiftly build consensus among senior-level internal and external stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup setting - possess high autonomy, adaptability to ambiguity, and a proactive approach to deliver results.
