This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.
• Convert trading opportunities into profits by enhancing and creating trading and market-making strategies while considering risk and market-making commitments. You will manage the entire workflow, which includes identifying issues, analyzing data, developing software, and providing continuous support.
• Enhance and create systems for the automated monitoring of trading activities 24/7/365.
• Develop applications in C++ and Python that utilize internally-developed, normalized interfaces for market data and order execution.
• Work with both legacy and new codebases.
• Collaborate closely with various teams, as the business, development, and trading groups regularly coordinate their efforts.
• Monitor trading activities, particularly for new algorithms, ensuring that our systems are functioning as expected from technical, risk management, and profitability perspectives.
• Leverage your experience with trading teams to identify opportunities for enhancing Auros’s technical systems and architecture.
• Participate actively with the team during system design discussions, code reviews, brainstorming trading ideas, and engaging in general conversation.
• Proven experience in developing high-performance trading strategies, particularly in market making within traditional or cryptocurrency markets.
• Familiarity with low latency trading algorithms, market making, and/or high-frequency arbitrage, along with an understanding of the risks involved in portfolio management.
• Minimum of three years of experience in creating clean, maintainable, and efficient code in C++ on Linux platforms.
• Experience with latency-optimized distributed systems capable of handling a high volume of transactions robustly.
• Ability to strike a balance between delivering clean, testable, and reliable code while rapidly deploying new system features to capitalize on market opportunities.
• You are dependable, take pride in delivering resilient software, and are willing to be on-call to support the systems you develop.
• Comprehensive understanding of network programming, including UDP, TCP, TLS, and WebSockets.
• Experience profiling C++ code using tools such as Cachegrind, Valgrind, or other similar profiling instruments.
• Experience in configuring and monitoring Linux systems.
• Familiarity with inter-process messaging through shared memory.
• Experience with cloud computing infrastructures like AWS.
