Strategic Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, lead, and implement sourcing strategies for commodities at local, regional, and national levels.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure sponsorship and comprehend sourcing requirements.

• Conduct market research and formulate sourcing strategies.

• Oversee supplier selection procedures, which include competitive bidding, partnership development, and purchase consolidation.

• Analyze category expenditures, gather business requirements, identify cross-functional teams, and create sourcing strategies.

• Design and manage sourcing events (RFXs) and perform business-related tasks associated with sourcing initiatives.

• Negotiate contracts and agreements.

• Manage supplier relationships and monitor category spend KPIs.

• Facilitate strategic supplier business meetings aimed at ensuring contractual compliance, fostering continuous improvement, driving innovation, and enhancing partnerships.

• Assist operations teams with daily sourcing and supply chain activities through effective management, detailed guidance, and follow-up.

• Manage expectations of both internal and external customers.

• Uphold contracting and procurement standards, policies, and procedures across the portfolio and business lines.

• Assist service lines in budget preparation and management.

• Collaborate with the client and the JLL Facility Management team to provide immediate and sustained client benefits.

• Establish annual sourcing initiatives alongside commodity strategies, objectives, leveraged-spend initiatives, and milestone timelines.

• Identify cost-saving and operational efficiencies through strategic thought leadership.

• Communicate, coordinate, and execute local and regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.

• Conduct performance review meetings with Preferred Suppliers and manage scorecards, contract compliance, and service obligations.

• Support corporate or client-mandated e-commerce procurement initiatives.

• Evaluate price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine price fairness and contractor capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of strategic sourcing experience in services or indirect categories.

• Experience in facilities sourcing is highly preferred.

• An MBA is an advantage.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Demonstrated ability to lead decentralized teams, influence across the organization, and deliver results in dynamic environments.

• Strategic mindset with the capability to develop strategic roadmaps and convert them into actionable plans and supply solutions.

• Exceptional customer service, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
