This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Overseeing accounting responsibilities for designated regions and/or specific functional accounting processes, including Balance Sheet reconciliations, Month-End Close procedures, Reporting activities, Asset Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Intercompany transactions, FX & Treasury Accounting, Tax calculations and submissions, and audit reports.
• Accountable for reviewing and validating the completeness and accuracy of balance sheet accounts (such as banks, fixed assets, client accounts, supplier accounts, and tax accounts).
• Preparing entries, reclassifications, and corrections in the STAT Ledger.
• Compiling and preparing SAF-T files.
• Preparing annual WHT declarations.
• Creating quarterly statements for CIT.
• Preparing and submitting VAT declarations.
• Conducting mid-year STAT reporting and preparing the relevant files.
• Preparing yearly financial statements.
• Assisting with year-end statutory closing activities.
• Preparing statistical reports, NBP, and similar documentation.
• Supporting both internal and external audits, as well as tax inspections.
• Compiling basic financial data for Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Issuing AR invoices.
• Performing other finance-related tasks as needed.
• Ensuring the implementation and comprehension of financial policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company guidelines.
• Ensuring adherence to finance standards and best practices.
• Acting as the primary liaison for Auditors and Controllers.
• Ensuring that internal controls are established and actively participating in risk mitigation efforts.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Chartered Accountant status (member of CECCAR).
• Extensive multi-GAAP accounting experience.
• Native or fluent proficiency in the Romanian language.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Comprehensive understanding of how operational processes correlate with financial statements.
• Insight into the interdependencies of key financial metrics and ratios.
• Computer literacy, especially in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP).
• Knowledge of Polish statutory regulations.
• ACCA certification.
• Member of CECCAR.
