This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver safe and thorough care to critically ill and/or injured individuals of all ages in pre-hospital environments and throughout inter-facility transports.
• Execute specialized functions along with complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies, and emergency treatments during rotor-wing, fixed-wing, and/or ground transport.
• Record assessment and treatment details during both stabilization and transport phases.
• Ensure complete billing information is documented for patient transports.
• Sustain timely communication between management and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage in public relations and marketing initiatives.
• Keep flight nursing knowledge current through meetings, chart reviews, equipment evaluations, skill labs, clinical rotations, and ongoing education.
• Fulfill annual recurrent competency requirements.
• Hold an active RN license along with necessary certifications.
• Operate under the guidance of the Medical Director through established protocols, procedures, and online medical direction.
• Report clinical issues to the Manager of Clinical Services and indirectly to the National Director of Clinical Standards.
• Active RN Compact license is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain an RN California license is required.
• At least three years of current critical care/emergency experience; five years is preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and either TNATC, TNCC, ITLS, or PHTLS are necessary.
• NRP certification is preferred.
• Instructor certifications are desirable.
• CFRN certification must be achieved within twenty-four months of hire.
• Experience in flight or transport settings is preferred.
• Completion of the PHI Air Medical Group education/orientation program is required.
• Strong human relations skills for effective interaction with personnel and external clients are essential.
• Must comply with the clinical personnel flight weight restriction as per policy.
• Basic computer skills for email communication and electronic charting are required.
• Body weight must be below 235 lbs.
• Capability to pass a pre-placement physical and functional capacity examination, including strength and flexibility assessments and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must successfully pass drug screening tests.
• Sign-on bonus of up to $50,000.
