📋 Description

• Engage in new query federation projects as a member of the Data Warehouse team.

• Collaborate with and make contributions to the open source community.

• Enjoy a thrilling opportunity to work on products that manage intricate SQL query workloads on both public and private cloud environments as part of Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).

• Design and implement features for parallel and distributed query engines to foster innovation within CDP.

• Concentrate on optimizing queries, enhancing performance, and ensuring the scalability of SQL queries.

• Lead cross-functional collaborations with peer teams, including Product Managers, and mentor junior engineers on the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 7+ years of experience; OR a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 3+ years of experience.

• Strong coding practices, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

• Proficient hands-on programmer with solid skills in data structures and algorithms.

• Experience with Java is preferred.

• Good understanding of database internals, query processing, and SQL query optimization.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Capability to work efficiently on cross-functional initiatives.
