Staff Software Engineer, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• You will serve as the engineering cornerstone of an initiative, collaborating closely with your PM and designer, as well as your engineering peers on related projects.

• You will engage in the entire lifecycle: defining the problem, selecting the technical strategy, guiding AI agents in implementing much of the code, delivering to production, and — along with your team — taking responsibility for the results.

• Your performance is evaluated based on impact rather than the number of lines of code merged.

• When an AI agent is ready to deploy something securely, your role is to ensure it's executed correctly and that the metrics improve.

• In cases where meticulous, hand-written code is necessary in critical areas, you will be responsible for writing it yourself.

• You are AI-native. Tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar are integral to your daily production work.

• You operate at a lead level. Regardless of your current title, you have been the key decision-maker, successfully delivering challenging projects and standing by their outcomes.

• You are outcome-driven. You assess your week based on whether "the metric moved" and "the experience improved."

• You are a strong horizontal partner. You work effectively alongside a capable PM and designer, and you collaborate seamlessly with engineering colleagues in a shared codebase.

• You are decisive and thorough. You make architectural, data-model, and rollout decisions, document them, seek quick feedback, and take action.

• You are a force multiplier. Your influence extends beyond your own initiative as you create reusable assets — such as agent workflows, evaluations, runbooks, and post-launch reviews.
