Staff Software Engineer, Healthcare AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Design and scale distributed systems that support healthcare AI applications.

• Enhance agent orchestration platforms and AI-powered workflows.

• Create secure healthcare data layers and enterprise-level integrations.

• Develop systems utilizing large language models (LLMs), reinforcement learning, and agent-based architectures.

• Lead architectural decisions and technical strategies.

• Enhance scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Provide mentorship to engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge exchange.

• Work closely with founders and a small, high-performing engineering team.

• Over 7 years of experience in building complex, production-grade software systems.

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend system design.

• Demonstrated experience in designing scalable distributed architectures.

• Experience in owning technical decisions and ensuring system reliability at scale.

• Capability to convert ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Strong software engineering skills and systems-thinking abilities.

• Experience in startup, scale-up, or high-growth environments.
