This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the technical leader of the cross-functional product trio, taking ownership of the technical strategy and conducting feasibility assessments in collaboration with the PM and Design teams.
• Establish the architectural framework for executing subscription growth experiments across NFHS Network, GoFan, and MaxPreps.
• Design, implement, and evaluate rapid experiments, making iterative adjustments based on data to enhance conversion, retention, and engagement.
• Develop internal tools and experiment scaffolding that increases the pod’s efficiency over time.
• Utilize AI coding tools and agent-assisted workflows to hasten experiment delivery and elevate the quality standards for the pod.
• Recognize and facilitate the resolution of cross-team technical dependencies when growth initiatives necessitate coordination beyond the pod.
• Guide engineers within the pod through code and design reviews that disseminate knowledge rather than merely identify bugs.
• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including time in a staff-level position or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on consumer subscription growth.
• Proven track record of technical leadership that extends beyond the team — influencing how engineering organizations approach growth, experimentation, or subscription infrastructure.
• Direct experience with revenue impact — you have effectively improved conversion, ARPU, retention, or LTV at scale and can provide detailed insights into both successes and failures.
• Proficient in full-stack engineering across TypeScript/JavaScript with a frontend framework (Vue.js, React, or similar) and Node.js, and comfortable with Ruby on Rails for our subscription stack.
• Hands-on experience with systems that drive subscription growth: Stripe or equivalent; Segment, Amplitude, or similar; LaunchDarkly, Statsig, or equivalent.
• Possess architectural judgment — you have made platform-level decisions regarding experimentation infrastructure or subscription interfaces and have learned from the outcomes.
• Data literate — capable of writing SQL, utilizing product analytics tools, and assessing the reliability of experiment results.
• Regularly employs AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to enhance speed and quality of work while sharing effective practices with fellow engineers.
• Bonus: Experience in building internal growth tools that improved experiment velocity at an organizational level, familiarity with native mobile or CTV platforms (Roku, Fire TV), or previous work in sports media or OTT streaming.
