Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack – Groups Shopping Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• As the senior technical leader for Groups Shopping at Engine, you will play a pivotal role.

• You will assist in driving the project, establishing the technical standards, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

• Focus on optimizing the scoring, sorting, and presentation of properties.

• The Groups segment is on the verge of a substantial increase in volume.

• You will define and implement AI features within the product.

• Take ownership of the architecture related to Groups Shopping.

• Conduct code reviews on challenging pull requests and design reviews for significant changes.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, lead design reviews, and produce documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with TypeScript and Node in a production environment at scale.

• A commitment to AI-first practices as part of daily operations, rather than just a discussion point.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS and CI/CD processes.

• Ability to communicate effectively across various functions and levels.

• Comfortable leading and managing a team.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node, including internals, performance, and fluency in the type system.

• Product-oriented experience, with the ability to adopt a product manager's perspective and consider customer needs.

• Background in travel, hospitality, or marketplace sectors.

• Familiarity with React Native is a plus.
