Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack - Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of SmithRx frontend features, utilizing a strong expertise in JavaScript, React, and GraphQL, while employing CI/CD to facilitate rapid iterations.

• Collaborate with UX designers and fellow front-end engineers to create and uphold design libraries within SmithRx.

• Partner with stakeholders and technical leads to assess the functional and technical viability of UI/UX designs, ensuring the production of high-quality, efficient, decoupled, and scalable code.

• Continuously implement software development best practices, design patterns, tools, and technologies.

• Diagnose production issues by conducting triages on arising problems and executing root cause analysis to avert future issues.

• Mentor and coach junior team members on their engineering assignments through design and code reviews.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to translate technical vision into a concrete roadmap.

• Serve as a key player in fostering a collaborative learning culture through knowledge sharing, mentorship, code evaluations, and the exploration of new frameworks and paradigms.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science.

• Over 8 years of software development experience specializing in web applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript, React, GraphQL, HTML, CSS, and various front-end frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in client-side software design with a focus on implementing reusable components and the ability to work independently on features.

• Proven track record of leveraging AI in development processes.

• Familiarity with Git in a professional setting.

• Experience in writing automated tests utilizing testing frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium.

• Some exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and common cloud service providers.

• Knowledge of standard web application, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and microservices patterns is advantageous.

• Experience in a high-growth startup environment is a plus.
