Staff Software Engineer – Fintech

📋 Description

• Design and manage systems responsible for ledgering, transaction processing, decision-making, and money movement.

• Create systems that are inherently accurate in their design.

• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of financial transactions.

• Drive architectural decisions and produce technical approach documentation.

• Enhance system resilience and operational tools.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers.

• Proven experience in building or managing financial systems, including payments, card issuance, wallets, or banking infrastructure.

• In-depth knowledge of fintech and the payments ecosystem.

• Acquaintance with real-world transaction lifecycles across various technology layers.

• Background in designing or contributing to ledger systems.

• Experience with decision-making systems that are in production environments.

• History of working on systems that manage real money at scale.

• Strong grasp of data consistency and correctness principles.

• Experience in integrating with external financial APIs.

• Proficient in Python and relational databases.
