Staff Software Engineer – Email

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Develop and manage your team's services within a distributed production environment utilized by millions of customers worldwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of pertinent experience in creating highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable distributed systems essential for delivering mission-critical applications.

• Proficient in Golang, Java, or related technologies.

• Proven track record of service ownership.

• Mindset focused on operational excellence: Recognizes the importance of monitoring through metrics and alerting, and knows how to construct resilient systems that remain maintainable over time.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express and present vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong technical and leadership abilities - Experienced in making technical decisions for your team and influencing decisions across functional domains in large-scale projects. Led initiatives and projects that enhance operational reliability factors such as monitoring, performance and capacity planning, security, and disaster response.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in delivering software utilizing Containers/Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Kafka data pipelining.

• Experience with MySQL or AWS Aurora database systems.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
