Staff Software Engineer – Edge

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee our top-tier proxy infrastructure that handles billions of HTTP requests daily.

• Administer our worldwide CDN platform that delivers assets to clients’ browsers efficiently.

• Collaborate effectively with a specialized team of seasoned engineers.

• Deploy code to production and enhance the experience for millions of Zendesk users.

• Serve as an additional set of eyes for your colleagues' code, modifications, and deployment strategies.

• Utilize a state-of-the-art technology stack including AWS, Cloudflare, Kubernetes, Terraform, Go, and more.

• Apply DevOps best practices: we build it, we manage it.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or production engineering role focusing on high-traffic, customer-facing distributed systems.

• Over 5 years of experience with edge-related technologies such as HTTP, TLS, load balancing, reverse proxying, CDN, and DNS.

• Practical experience in delivering highly scalable server-side solutions within a continuous integration framework that necessitates extensive cross-team collaboration.

• Proficient in working with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud computing services.
