Staff Software Engineer, EAA CX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture and implementation of essential platform capabilities, which include MCP tool registries, AI orchestration layers, risk-based access automation, and the away-team contribution model.

• Propel the advancement of Control Center into a headless operations platform that is ready for AI agents by designing and executing MCP procedure constructs, agentic guardrails, HITL orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.

• Guide the technical direction of the team in collaboration with the Engineering Manager and Product teams.

• Develop highly reliable and secure distributed backend services, taking responsibility for SLO definitions, observability instrumentation, incident response, and operational readiness for Tier-1 systems.

• Collaborate with EAA engineering, Product Engineering, and Security Engineering teams to achieve cross-functional results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience with a proven history of architecting and delivering large-scale, high-traffic distributed systems.

• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex and high-impact technical projects from concept to production as a technical owner across multifaceted, multi-team problem domains.

• Practical experience with cloud-native infrastructure, including AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ), distributed caching (Redis/Memcached), and SQL or NoSQL databases.

• A strong background in building secure and compliant internal tools or platforms, with a deep understanding of security controls, access management, audit logging, and data governance within a regulated financial services setting.

• Experience in developing or integrating with agentic AI systems, including MCP servers, LLM orchestration layers, RAG pipelines, HITL workflows, or evaluation and guardrail frameworks for production agentic workloads, with proficiency in Go and an openness to work with Python.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and enhance workflow efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
