Staff Software Engineer – DSM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, scale, and maintain backend systems that handle extensive data volumes.

• Engage in event-driven and API-based integrations.

• Assist in migration initiatives towards a scalable architecture.

• Create and enhance software for workflows that are sensitive to performance.

• Analyze technical issues and suggest effective solutions.

• Collaborate with colleagues in data science and engineering to devise technical solutions.

• Take part in a cooperative development approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in backend software engineering.

• Profound technical expertise.

• Technology-agnostic mindset with a readiness to adapt to different programming languages (primary language is Java).

• Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and system architecture.

• Familiarity with tools and technologies for heavy data processing.

• Proficient in Python and/or PySpark.

• Experience in constructing or maintaining complex, real-time, high-volume systems.

• Knowledge of Docker, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven integrations.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, collaborative working style.

• Strong communication skills with engineers and data science partners.

• Academic qualifications in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field are preferred.
