Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Independently design and implement applications utilizing web technologies.

• Create and update product and support documentation.

• Analyze and assess requirements while proposing high-level designs and technical solutions throughout the development process.

• Evaluate solutions to ensure they are interoperable, efficient, and maintainable.

• Follow team and department coding standards closely.

• Engage in code reviews and provide final approval.

• Research relevant technologies for both new and existing solution modules (e.g., Machine Learning frameworks, data storage and capture frameworks, etc.).

• Offer insights and recommendations regarding sound technical design and industry trends.

• Decompose tasks for team members and serve as the primary contact for project-related issues and status updates.

• Set a positive example in adhering to department and team best practices.

• Responsible for accurately reporting all work hours in Netsuite on a daily or weekly basis, ensuring the majority (if not all) hours are recorded as billable, and that the project management tool in Netsuite is effectively utilized.

• Monitoring and reporting billable hours is essential for project management and successful delivery to our clients, making it a key area of responsibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience is required.

• Proficient in Java, Spring, Rest API, SQL, and Git.

• Experience in developing middleware products, unit testing practices, and transaction processing.

• Ability to create and maintain clear documentation.

• Skilled in managing repositories with an emphasis on code quality and health.

• Experience in end-to-end feature development.

• Knowledge of or experience in healthcare, HL7/FHIR is an advantage but not mandatory.
