Senior Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee capital equipment projects from initial concept to production startup, which includes determining and developing equipment specifications, assessing vendors, designing processes, commissioning, and ensuring adherence to all relevant safety and regulatory standards.

• Assess manufacturing capacity needs and pinpoint necessary capital equipment investments to facilitate business expansion.

• Create RFQs, technical specifications, and statements of work for capital equipment initiatives.

• Direct capital equipment projects from conception through to startup and complete production validation.

• Supervise the delivery, rigging, installation, utility connections, and startup processes of equipment.

• Review production performance after implementation and identify areas for enhancement.

• Confirm that equipment designs meet OSHA regulations, machine guarding standards, and relevant ANSI, NFPA, and industry benchmarks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 7 years of experience in managing capital equipment projects within the plastics manufacturing sector.

• Background in chemical manufacturing.

• Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, blow molding, or other related plastics processing technologies.
