Staff Software Engineer – Data Solutions, Measurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, scale, and sustain backend systems capable of handling extensive data volumes.

• Engage in event-driven and API-centric integrations.

• Assist in migration initiatives towards a more domain-oriented and scalable architecture.

• Create and enhance software for workflows that are sensitive to performance.

• Analyze technical challenges and collaborate with the team to propose effective solutions.

• Work closely with data science and engineering teams to devise technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in backend software engineering, showcasing strong technical expertise.

• Profound understanding of algorithms, data structures, Big O notation, and system architecture.

• Familiarity with data processing tools such as Spark, tools from the Apache ecosystem, Kafka, and Avro.

• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark.

• Experience with Docker, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and event-driven integrations.

• Ability to thrive in high-performance environments with systems that prioritize high throughput and low latency.

• Preferred academic background in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud service providers is a desirable asset.
