This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Articulate the long-term technical strategy and framework for SentiLink's Data Platform.
• Architect and enhance extensive data infrastructure that supports our identity and fraud detection systems.
• Oversee the design of secure, scalable, and highly dependable batch and streaming data pipelines capable of handling billions of records.
• Propel enhancements in scalability, reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence for the data platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams to address cross-functional technical challenges and align platform investments with organizational goals.
• Define engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices for data infrastructure across various teams.
• Make informed build-versus-buy choices and assess emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Promote operational excellence by elevating production reliability, incident response, and system observability.
• Engage in production support and on-call rotation while enhancing systems to minimize operational burdens over time.
• Cultivate deep subject matter expertise in identity, fraud detection, and large-scale data processing.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related domain, with proven ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
• Mastery of Python or Golang.
• Extensive background in designing and managing large-scale ETL/ELT and streaming data platforms utilizing technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop, or other similar distributed processing frameworks.
• Strong experience in architecting scalable distributed systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Profound expertise across various data storage technologies, including relational databases (PostgreSQL), search platforms (OpenSearch), columnar data stores, object storage, and contemporary data lake architectures.
• Experience in designing highly available, containerized services operating on Kubernetes or comparable orchestration platforms.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, observability, and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Proven capability to lead technical initiatives that span multiple engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience in making architectural decisions that balance scalability, reliability, maintainability, and developer productivity.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams and levels.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguous environments while independently driving complex initiatives from conception to execution.
