This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the advancement of backend architecture with an emphasis on refactoring and enhancing current data pipelines.
• Create next-generation distributed data storage and processing systems aimed at limitless scalability and enhanced query performance.
• Design clear and expressive interfaces that simplify complexity for web applications, business analytics, and AI data consumers.
• Identify and cultivate scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Influence product strategy and execution across various disciplines.
• Establish strong foundations for code architecture and quality.
• Mentor and guide engineers to elevate their skills.
• Set and maintain engineering processes that promote high-quality engineering standards.
• Transform infrastructure into a resilient, high-performance foundation.
• A BS/BTech or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of production-level engineering experience in designing highly scalable systems.
• At least 4 years of experience serving as a trusted technical decision-maker within a team environment.
• Minimum of 4 years working with SQL or other database querying languages on extensive multi-table datasets.
• Proven experience in architecting, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of server-side web technologies including Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go.
• Preferred: experience in building highly scalable and dependable infrastructure.
• Preferred: expertise in ETL/ELT data pipelines and ingestion systems for large-scale real-time and batch processing.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, SQL, Python, or Databricks.
• Preferred: practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed architectures.
• Preferred: proficiency in replication, sharding, partitioning, indexing, and caching strategies.
• Preferred: understanding of data security, governance, and compliance principles.
• Preferred: experience in infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and architecture reviews.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, use computers and keyboards extensively, and occasionally walk and lift.
