Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance our CI/CD architecture along with the developer experience.

• Foster ongoing enhancements to the reliability, speed, and predictability of our pipelines.

• Establish paved paths that enable product teams to deploy quickly and securely without extensive platform expertise.

• Manage the entire delivery process, from code merging to production deployment.

• Promote advanced delivery methodologies such as canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Develop tools that ensure deployments are observable, repeatable, and self-service.

• Oversee and enhance our Internal Developer Portal, along with the self-service functionalities associated with it.

• Collaborate with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while managing the developer-focused delivery.

• Integrate AI tools into delivery workflows in a manner that yields sustainable productivity improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles centered on CI/CD and delivery, preferably in organizations with over 200 engineers.

• Proven experience in managing and operating a CI/CD platform at both administrative and architectural levels, covering security, configuration, and enablement.

• Demonstrated capability to design and maintain delivery systems at scale.

• Hands-on software development experience, particularly in production-quality Go.

• Strong enthusiasm for advanced delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.

• A strong interest in leveraging AI to enhance engineering velocity, quality, and developer experience.

• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams.
