SQL Developer, DBA – AWS, Azure Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage production SQL Server environments utilizing Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and AWS MySQL.

• Compose, assess, and enhance T-SQL queries, stored procedures, DML statements, and schema modifications.

• Conduct query performance tuning by analyzing execution plans, implementing indexing strategies, managing statistics, and performing operator-level diagnostics.

• Work closely with the lead architect to assess and execute decisions that affect production environments.

• Cultivate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of production schemas, data flows, and system architecture.

• Provide support for Entity Framework-based applications by reviewing generated SQL and suggesting improvements.

• Utilize AI tools to improve database operations, monitoring, and automation processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of practical experience as a Database Administrator with a strong emphasis on SQL Server.

• Expertise in Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.

• Experience with cloud-based relational databases, particularly AWS MySQL.

• Advanced skills in T-SQL, including DDL, DML, stored procedures, and query optimization techniques.

• Proven ability to analyze execution plans and perform operator-level query assessments.

• Familiarity with Entity Framework and its SQL generation mechanisms.

• Understanding of AI tools and their application in database management and automation.
