β’ Taking ownership of the design for core backend services aimed at high-performance distributed systems, ensuring that scale and reliability are paramount.
β’ Serving as the technical authority on partner integrations β defining how third-party PSPs connect with Primer's platform and elevating the standard for what "seamless" truly means.
β’ Leading and influencing engineers across various teams without direct authority β through code contributions, design reviews, and providing technical mentorship.
β’ Identifying and addressing cross-team technical dependencies proactively before they evolve into obstacles.
β’ Promoting the adoption of contemporary engineering practices (BDD, TDD, thorough documentation) and maintaining high-quality standards.
β’ Collaborating closely with Product to inform roadmap decisions where technical constraints or opportunities are significant.
β’ Proven experience operating at a staff or principal level β establishing technical direction across several teams, rather than within a single one.
β’ Extensive backend engineering knowledge, with a history of designing and developing distributed systems at scale.

β’ Access to co-working spaces.
β’ Opportunities for workations and company retreats.
β’ Provision of top-quality equipment for your role.

β’ A generous learning budget.
β’ Private Medical Insurance.
β’ A wide range of additional perks and benefits (*depending on location*).
