Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Oversee the design and development of software solutions, making strategic choices that shape our technical trajectory.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technology development aligns with business goals, effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and champion best coding practices to guarantee our products are both efficient and maintainable.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting their professional development and contributing to a culture of excellence.

• Investigate emerging technologies and trends in software engineering, pinpointing opportunities to improve our projects and workflows.

• Tackle complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, proactively addressing potential issues to ensure seamless project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience.

• Required proficiency in Java and Ruby.

• Demonstrated experience in the development, scaling, and maintenance of distributed systems.

• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, architectural design, and agile development methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work autonomously on complex problems.

• Strong communication skills, able to clearly and concisely convey complex ideas.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).

• Experience with Elixir is advantageous.

• Familiarity with front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, etc.).

• Knowledge of Gradle and Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with Python.

• Contributions to open-source projects or a robust GitHub portfolio.
