Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Technical Direction: Establish the long-term architectural vision for our API services and backend systems.

• Team Leadership: Oversee and guide a small yet expanding team of top-tier engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and ongoing improvement.

• Product Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Product Management team to convert business needs into robust and scalable technical solutions.

• Quality & Stability: Work alongside the QA team to resolve intricate bugs and uphold a high standard for system uptime and performance.

• Release Management: Take charge of the backend release process, managing weekly deployments to guarantee smooth production rollouts.

• Hands-on Development: Set an example by delivering high-quality, production-ready code in TypeScript.

• Security: Ensure the API adheres to security best practices to satisfy the requirements of our numerous large regulated clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• The Expert Programmer: You have a deep comprehension of TypeScript and are well-versed in the intricacies of the type system, decorators, and asynchronous patterns.

• Cloud Native: Extensive and detailed knowledge of the AWS ecosystem utilizing a serverless approach. You should be skilled in architecting solutions with Lambda, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and EventBridge.

• Master Debugger: You possess an innate ability to identify bottlenecks and race conditions. You are adept at exploring distributed tracing, logs, and memory heaps to tackle the most challenging problems.

• Backend Specialist: You are familiar with API design principles (REST) and have a solid record of developing systems that support a scaling platform.

• The Pedigree: We seek a candidate with a distinguished history of achievement. You must fulfill one of the following criteria:

• Academic Excellence: Hold a BSc (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline from a prestigious global university.

• Industry Excellence: Have at least 4 years of experience at a leading enterprise (e.g., FAANG, high-growth unicorn, or industry-leading technology firm).
