This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Lead the architectural design of the most complex systems, providing long-term technical vision and guidance on decision-making.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt and future toil within the components maintained by the team.
• Provide technical feedback on relevant projects within the area, contributing to improved outcomes beyond personal work.
• Serve as a technical reference for high-priority problems and situations, resolving them and assisting the team in understanding how to avoid such issues in the future.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and profiles to ensure alignment of objectives and consistent technical advancement of initiatives.
• Ensure the quality of the code and the development process: reviews, clear standards, and constructive resolution of technical differences.
• Employ best engineering practices: automated testing in its various forms (unit, integration, E2E), pairing, and refactoring with discernment.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and the automation of migrations.
• Manage deployments and infrastructure using Kubernetes and Terraform, preferably in Azure.
• Contribute to the system's resilience: monitoring, alerts, SLOs/SLIs, incident management, and operational documentation.
• Clearly communicate decisions and technical context to diverse profiles: from Product Managers, Project Managers, and Implementation Specialists to technical teams like Platform or Mobile, adapting the message for each audience.
• Mentor team members, including senior profiles, assisting them in developing both technical skills and strategic thinking.
• Integrate AI tools and practices throughout the development flow—from design and documentation to testing and deployment—leveraging agent-based approaches to automate parts of the cycle.
• Strong technical experience and systems vision.
• We use .NET and Vue, but value experience with similar stacks; the fundamentals and problem-solving ability are what matter most.
• Proven track record in web application development, having led significant projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• While we use SQL Server and PostgreSQL, we appreciate any experience with relational databases or alternative approaches like columnar.
• Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs while applying good design practices.
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, E2E) and the ability to extend that culture to the rest of the team.
• Solid experience in CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Comfort working with legacy code: able to read context, adapt, and refactor judiciously when necessary.
• Practical expertise in at least one specialized area beyond pure development, such as monitoring and observability, performance optimization, or large-scale integration testing.
