Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from the database layer to the frontend. While your main focus will be on developing exceptional user interfaces, you will also be responsible for writing and modifying backend services that support user-centric workflows and real-time streaming functionalities.

• Design and implement a clean Angular module-based architecture organized by feature domains, ensuring that the frontend codebase remains scalable, decoupled, and easily maintainable as the product line grows.

• Develop and secure enterprise-grade API integrations. Create robust interceptor patterns for handling requests/responses, capturing custom errors, and managing secure multi-tenant authentication and session state.

• Architect real-time asynchronous UI modules utilizing advanced state management libraries to efficiently manage large data streams, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events (SSE).

• Lead internationalization (i18n/localization) efforts across screens, and implement Progressive Web App (PWA) strategies and service workers to enhance offline reliability and caching methods.

• Design and build high-concurrency backend services using Python (FastAPI/Django) to address core business logic and complex workflows.

• Actively engage with autonomous coding agents to plan, generate, and test both front-end and backend code, ensuring a rapid development pace while maintaining code quality through agent-assisted peer reviews.

• Manage the implementation of secure authorization protocols (JWT, OpenID Connect) to ensure compliance with strict permission boundaries for both human users and AI agents.

• Monitor and enhance API latency and database query performance (PostgreSQL/MS SQL) to facilitate real-time interactions for web and mobile applications, as well as high-frequency agents.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-8+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering, with an outstanding record of delivering production-quality commercial web applications.

• Expert-level knowledge of Angular and TypeScript as your primary technical stack. Strong secondary experience with modern React architectures is highly regarded.

• Extensive experience with Angular module-based architecture and feature-domain organization, along with a hands-on mastery of modern state management libraries. Strong understanding of HTTP/API patterns, secure authentication/session management, and advanced interceptor design for resilient request/response processing.

• Practical experience with enterprise UI frameworks (Angular Material, Bootstrap), creation of custom component libraries, and management of localization/internationalization (i18n) workflows. A solid grasp of PWA behavior, service worker lifecycles, and advanced caching mechanisms in Angular applications.

• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL/MS SQL) and real-world experience with OAuth2/JWT for secure service-to-service communication.

• Hands-on experience in building or modifying backend microservices and APIs (e.g., Python, Node.js, or Java; Python preferred). Comfortable working with databases, routing logic, and data schemas.

• Proven ability to utilize coding agents to accelerate the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and effectively plan and execute complex engineering tasks.
