Staff Software Engineer – Application Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Design, architect, and implement highly reliable, high-performance services and infrastructure utilized by millions.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks across infrastructure, databases, and APIs.

• Establish and promote adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.

• Work collaboratively with the Product team to shape features, technical direction, and the long-term vision of the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in building and managing complex, mission-critical, large-scale distributed systems in the Cloud.

• Proficiency in asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, APIs, and integration patterns.

• Proven ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and robust code that endures over time.

• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin is preferred (experience with other modern programming languages is also appreciated).

• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of aligning and motivating cross-functional teams.

• A history of mentoring junior team members and improving the overall effectiveness of the team.
