This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and implement the comprehensive integration and data strategy for Salesforce alongside its interconnected production distributed systems.
• Establish data ownership, define entity structures, and identify single sources of truth across platforms utilizing Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).
• Collaborate with core engineering teams to ensure alignment on system boundaries and architectural standards.
• Create high-scale integration patterns emphasizing retries, idempotency, reconciliation, and extensive observability.
• Transition fragile, no-code integrations (such as Zapier) to strong, engineered, code-based solutions.
• Apply Enterprise Best Practices.
• Utilize profound Salesforce knowledge to construct advanced, code-driven integrations instead of conventional administrative configurations.
• Develop a robust CI/CD pipeline for managing integrations, focusing on configuration-as-code over manual, "click-based" adjustments in production settings.
• Collaborate closely with IT, Product, and various business stakeholders to facilitate smooth change management and alignment with overarching business objectives.
• Act as the authoritative resource on contemporary integration technologies, methodologies, and enterprise-grade software engineering practices.
• Extensive hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform in a complex custom-object environment.
• Proven experience with TypeScript in production settings.
• Background in relational databases, specifically Postgres.
• Experience in developing integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
• Practical experience with distributed systems concepts: idempotency, retries, dead-lettering, backfills, reconciliation, and eventual consistency.
• Familiarity with integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, and Webhooks.
• Strong skills in relational data modeling and ERD design; comfortable working with Postgres or similar databases.
• Experience in building observability around integrations: metrics, alerts, dashboards, and runbooks.
• Proficient with Salesforce metadata versioned in source control + CI/CD (scratch orgs, sandboxes, deployment automation).
• Capable of operating credibly at a staff/lead level within a software engineering organization.
