Staff Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Stacks and project context experiences within Dropbox.

• Clarify the connections between folders, Stacks, Spaces, projects, Home, AI/chat experiences, and collaborative workflows to foster a unified user mental model.

• Create intelligent project context experiences that integrate Dropbox content, third-party references, comments, tasks, activity, status, versions, and AI-generated summaries within trusted workspaces.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Search, Connectors, Sharing, Platform, and AI teams to provide scalable and intuitive user experiences.

• Develop onboarding flows, naming conventions, promotion pathways, and interaction patterns that guide users on when and why to utilize Stacks.

• Set product quality standards, experimentation frameworks, learning objectives, and success metrics for early design partner initiatives and broader rollout strategies.

• Interpret intricate technical trade-offs related to retrieval, permissions, freshness, connector reliability, and model behavior into straightforward product decisions that uphold user trust and simplicity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of product management experience in developing and launching high-impact user-facing products.

• Extensive experience with conceptual model thinking and an aptitude for simplifying complex concepts.

• Strong technical expertise with the capability to analyze AI/LLM systems, retrieval quality, search relevance, permissions, platform limitations, and distributed product architectures.

• Proven track record of creating products that harmonize UX simplicity with underlying technical intricacies.

• Experience in collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data Science, AI/ML, and Platform teams to clarify ambiguous product areas and drive execution.

• Robust product instincts regarding trust, precision, recall, freshness, citations, source boundaries, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

• Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills, with a history of influencing senior leadership.
