Staff Product Engineer

Posted Jul 17

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Develop customer-facing AI features across the entire stack. Create the user experience and the backend components β€” including LLM-supported flows, retrieval (RAG), embeddings, and agentic tool-calling β€” culminating in a fast, accessible, and well-designed UI.

β€’ Approach AI outputs as something to validate rather than assume. Integrate evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring into AI features to ensure quality is quantifiable and robust in production.

β€’ Pay close attention to front-end craftsmanship.

β€’ Engage closely with customers. Participate in customer calls when additional context is required to design appropriate solutions, join a support escalation rotation, and review session recordings for the features you oversee.

β€’ Be responsible for outcomes, not merely outputs.

β€’ Collaborate on the solution. While PMs focus on strategy and sequencing, you provide the expertise and craftsmanship necessary for actual solution development.

β€’ Ensure production readiness from the outset.

⛳️ Requirements

β€’ You are a proficient engineer with full-stack capabilities, particularly strong in front-end development.

β€’ You possess significant experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, demonstrating real front-end skills, and you proactively engage across the stack, delivering end-to-end solutions without waiting for others to manage the complementary aspects.

β€’ You have developed tangible projects utilizing LLMs β€” beyond just prototypes.

β€’ You are familiar with retrieval (RAG), embeddings, prompt/context engineering, and agentic/tool-calling patterns, and you have an informed perspective on what contributes to the reliability of AI features in production.

β€’ You maintain a high standard for AI quality.

β€’ You are well-versed in AI coding tools and incorporate them as integral to your craft.

β€’ You possess strong customer engagement skills.

β€’ You take responsibility for outcomes.

β€’ You fully own the entire development lifecycle.

β€’ You communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

🏝️ Benefits

β€’ Competitive salary and an internal, transparent salary formula based on market data.

β€’ Flexible time off – you choose the holidays and vacations that suit you best.

β€’ 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all new parents, including those adopting or fostering.

β€’ A home office stipend to assist in setting up a productive workspace.

β€’ A co-working stipend of up to $300 per month if you opt to work outside of your home.

β€’ An annual professional development stipend of $1,800 to support your growth in your craft.

β€’ If you are located in the U.S. or Canada, we provide top-tier health insurance for you and your dependents.
