This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Independently lead the design process across large, intricate projects, managing the entire workflow from discovery and framing to execution and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape roadmaps and objectives from the user's viewpoint, aligning work with broader product and business goals.
• Determine how products and experiences interconnect within your domain, ensuring consistency across surfaces, users, and use cases.
• Utilize data and research to inform decisions: establish success metrics, collaborate with Research and Analytics to validate outcomes, and share insights within the team.
• Elevate design standards by setting quality benchmarks for your area, documenting and promoting new patterns, and contributing to the design system.
• Mentor and provide regular, constructive feedback to fellow designers, enhancing the overall quality of work within the team.
• Foster strong relationships with cross-functional partners through clear storytelling and well-crafted artifacts, guiding them through the design process.
• Thoughtfully incorporate AI into your design workflow, understanding when it enhances quality and when it may not, and share effective methodologies with your team.
• Over 6 years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, or in a similar role, with strong visual and interaction design expertise.
• Proven history of independently managing large, multifaceted projects from problem framing to delivery, with a clear focus on design quality and business results.
• Experience in defining team priorities, shifting focus from merely visual aspects to solving well-defined problems with measurable outcomes.
• Extensive knowledge of the design process, with the ability to balance speed and quality according to project scope and impact.
• Excellent storytelling and communication abilities, capable of tailoring messages to different audiences and presenting work with a coherent narrative.
• Experience designing for complex, multi-user experiences across various surfaces or touchpoints.
• Proficient in Figma and prototyping tools, including AI-driven tools, and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge of the latest design technologies.
• Experience in designing with and contributing to a comprehensive design system.
• A detailed portfolio that highlights your approach to tackling complex, multi-stakeholder challenges and the resulting business and customer impacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills that complement your design expertise; you think deeply about team dynamics.
• A keen intellect, a compassionate approach, and a good sense of humor.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings, and other events, as necessary.
