Staff Product Designer – Prototypes

📋 Description

• Define and lead the North Star vision for Miro Prototyping, articulating a disruptive vision that aligns with market trends.

• Act as an innovative force in the AI domain, investigating how generative AI can bridge the gap between a rough sketch and a fully functional application.

• Approach the product with an entrepreneurial mindset and a sense of ownership, navigating ambiguity, building lean experiments, and treating the Prototyping mode as your own startup within Miro.

• Utilize your extensive knowledge of the design tool landscape to craft a premier experience that competes with top rivals while preserving Miro’s user-friendly approach and accommodating our diverse formats.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to tackle intricate technical challenges related to AI quality, discoverability, and the smooth transition between the 'infinite canvas' and 'Prototypes Focus Mode.'

• Establish a standard for design excellence at Miro by mentoring fellow designers and contributing to the growth of our design systems and internal tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of product design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or AI-focused roles.

• At least 2-3 years in a Staff/Principal role, with demonstrable ownership of complex projects.

• A robust portfolio that highlights your ability to develop clear, user-centric products and strategies, showcasing their impact on user experience and business objectives.

• A profound understanding of AI and AI design tools, with evidence of your leadership in this area.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering, to provide cohesive content solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of UX practices, information architecture, and user-centered design methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating the value of design and collaborating effectively across diverse teams.

• A proactive and adaptable attitude, comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities.

• Experience with design tools, editors, or creative software is a significant advantage.
