This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive design processes for key product features across web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
• Develop interfaces for new hardware technologies and collaborate with hardware teams to ensure a unified hardware-software experience.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to establish requirements and deliver solutions that align user needs with business objectives.
• Produce high-fidelity designs and prototypes that function seamlessly across various platforms and screen dimensions.
• Investigate and define innovative interaction paradigms for unique hardware interfaces and form factors.
• Conduct and analyze user research, including interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, to guide design choices.
• Uphold design standards and actively participate in the development of our design systems to maintain consistency and quality across all touchpoints.
• Present design ideas and justifications to leadership and cross-functional teams with assurance and clarity.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to guarantee precise and efficient implementation of designs.
• Champion user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Contribute to strategic product planning by offering design insights on roadmap priorities and emerging opportunities.
• 8-12 years of product design experience with a robust portfolio that demonstrates work across multiple platforms.
• Experience designing at the convergence of hardware and software, with an understanding of how physical limitations and capabilities shape the user experience.
• Proven track record in designing for both consumer and business users, with an awareness of diverse user contexts and needs.
• Expert-level proficiency in design tools such as Figma and ProtoPie.
• Experience in building, contributing to, and maintaining design systems that are scalable across various products and platforms.
• Knowledge of hardware-software integration and experience in creating interfaces that feel intrinsic to their physical context.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative approach with experience working in cross-functional teams and managing various stakeholders.
• Understanding of technical constraints and opportunities when creating designs for different platforms and devices.
• Portfolio showcasing the ability to balance user needs with business demands.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design methodologies.
• Experience in growth-stage companies or similar fast-paced environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools in both professional and personal settings.
