Staff Product Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Define and implement BeReal’s product analytics roadmap, ensuring alignment of modeling, observability, and tooling with product priorities.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to convert product loops, retention mechanics, and experimentation requirements into scalable data models.

• Develop and launch AI-driven internal analytics tools that allow stakeholders to query data using natural language.

• Manage the integration between BigQuery, Amplitude, and our experimentation framework to maintain a single source of truth for metrics.

• Create and sustain a self-service metrics layer that empowers PMs to analyze funnels and experiments independently.

• Produce production-grade dbt models and enhance SQL transformations for reliability, performance, and scalability.

• Lead technical reviews and set best practices for analytics engineering.

• Work with Backend and Mobile teams to ensure analytics instrumentation is strong and analytics-ready from the outset.

• Oversee data quality and observability to ensure trust in product metrics and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess expertise in analytics engineering, data engineering, or product analytics.

• Profound knowledge of SQL, dbt, and BigQuery.

• High proficiency with product analytics tools like Amplitude.

• Experience in creating scalable data models and self-service analytics layers.

• Comfortable working with Python and/or Go.

• Strong product intuition and capability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers.

• Hands-on, self-sufficient, and results-driven approach.

• Ability to balance technical excellence with business outcomes.

• Outstanding communication skills and a talent for influencing cross-functional teams.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
