Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Data Products: Create and execute scalable data models (Silver/Gold layers), treating datasets as internal products with an emphasis on usability.

• Engineering: Build resilient pipelines by utilizing software engineering best practices, including versioning, modularization, and CI/CD.

• Governance: Set and oversee quality standards, track data lineage, and facilitate cataloging, serving as the custodian of the "single source of truth".

• Democratization: Enhance the Self-Service Analytics framework by developing semantic layers that lessen the technical dependency of business teams.

• Discovery: Function at the nexus of Data Engineering and Business, converting complex inquiries into robust, actionable data architectures.

• Evangelization: Foster a data-driven culture and improve data literacy, enabling colleagues to utilize information effectively and adhere to analysis best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in data modeling and engineering aimed at analytical usage.

• Familiarity with Self-Service BI projects, data integration, and Data Mesh concepts.

• Experience working collaboratively with data teams and business stakeholders.

• Proficient in SQL and experienced with data transformation tools such as dbt, PySpark, and Delta Lake.

• Knowledge of visualization tools including Power BI and Metabase.

• Experience with Databricks or similar platforms.

• Strong focus on delivery and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborative attitude and effective listening skills to comprehend and translate business needs.

• Self-driven and proactive in suggesting enhancements and solutions.

• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business impact.
