Staff Mobile Engineer – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and steer the long-term technical vision and architecture for Gametime's mobile platform across iOS and Android using React Native.

• Investigate, assess, and advocate for AI-driven capabilities within the mobile development process — such as agentic coding tools, on-device intelligence, and AI-enhanced personalization features.

• Take ownership of the complete technical strategy for the mobile application, encompassing architecture patterns, platform infrastructure, performance, and release engineering.

• Lead cross-functional projects that involve mobile, backend, product, design, and data teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and execution.

• Establish and uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, and mobile-specific best practices throughout the organization.

• Mentor and elevate engineers at all levels through code reviews, architectural guidance, and technical thought leadership.

• Enhance mobile app performance, reliability, and release quality — including CI/CD pipelines, crash monitoring, and progressive rollout strategies.

• Collaborate with Product and Design to define the mobile roadmap, translating business objectives into technically robust solutions.

• Identify and resolve platform-level bottlenecks that hinder team velocity or diminish user experience.

• Foster a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture through tech talks, documentation, and commitment to engineering excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 10 years in software engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in building and scaling production mobile applications, including substantial time spent with React Native.
