This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Deliver comprehensive machine learning use cases (such as recommendation systems, safety algorithms, etc.).
• Ensure the readiness for production, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
• Balance the pace of delivery with robustness and dependability.
• Define and enhance the entire machine learning lifecycle (including training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration).
• Establish key performance indicators and monitoring standards to assess model performance over time.
• Maintain continuous alignment with product and safety goals.
• Contribute to the “ML as a Platform” strategy by developing tools, workflows, and reusable components.
• Define scalable standards for machine learning development across various teams.
• Facilitate self-service machine learning capabilities.
• Take responsibility for legacy models, ensuring they align with current business objectives.
• Enhance, retrain, and integrate these models into contemporary pipelines.
• Set standards for the usage of large language models (LLMs) in moderation and recommendations.
• Investigate and adopt advanced machine learning techniques where applicable.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, MLOps, Backend Platform, and Product teams.
• Serve as a liaison between machine learning, platform, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and structure to machine learning practices throughout the organization.
• 8–10 years of experience in machine learning or data science, including work with large-scale datasets (hundreds of gigabytes).
• Strong expertise in contemporary machine learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX).
• Highly skilled in Python, particularly within the data ecosystem.
• Profound understanding of neural networks and large language models (LLMs).
• Comprehend machine learning systems comprehensively (data → training → deployment → monitoring).
• Significant experience with production machine learning systems, beyond just research.
• Exhibit strong product instincts and the ability to align models with business requirements.
• Pragmatic and impact-focused (not solely research-driven).
• Capable of clearly explaining complex machine learning concepts (strong pedagogical skills).
• Function effectively in ambiguous situations and can organize complex challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and influence without formal authority.
