Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product owners, executive leadership, design, sales, and marketing to ensure we develop the right solutions as efficiently as possible.

• Serve as the internal advocate for AI development practices, guiding the engineering organization on leveraging AI to enhance sprint velocity and code quality.

• Create and manage systems that function reliably at scale while maintaining the highest standards of security.

• Partner with leadership to establish a cohesive technical direction and cultivate a culture of excellence and speed.

• Evaluate pull requests and design the future architecture of our systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Expertise in large-scale services utilizing Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.

• Extensive knowledge of distributed systems, relational databases (MySQL/Postgres), and AWS infrastructure (Aurora, RDS, SQS).

• You view AI as your key collaborator in the development lifecycle.

• Ability to represent the engineering team in high-stakes discussions with non-technical stakeholders to drive business value.
