Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with your team, playing a vital role in the design, development, and implementation of features and technical solutions.

• Spearhead technical modernization initiatives within your team while facilitating the introduction of new functionalities, including those related to AI.

• Elevate engineering standards and practices across the backend, assisting in resolving issues that affect multiple teams.

• Aid teams in transforming vague, poorly defined challenges into a structured plan of action when they lack experience or confidence.

• Foster the development of your fellow engineers through mentorship, contributions to personal development plans, and recommendations for skills, resources, or courses.

• Maintain a balance between hands-on delivery and empowering other engineers and processes, rather than merely directing their tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced backend engineering expertise in C# / .NET.

• Comprehensive experience with automated testing, DevOps methodologies, and database management.

• A robust product mindset, with an understanding of the business and product implications behind technical choices.

• Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaborate as an equal with senior engineers, without requiring tasks to be broken down.

• Willingness to take on responsibilities beyond pure technical delivery, including mentoring, cross-team collaboration, or representing the team in wider initiatives.

• Excellent communication skills with an Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher proficiency in English.

• Desirable: Practical experience in building or integrating AI-related functionalities.

• Experience in system design and making architecture-level decisions.
