Staff Engineer, AI-Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority for the squad and the wider engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, performance enhancement, and accessibility standards.

• Solution Design: Steer the design and architectural conversations for systems, making crucial decisions regarding frameworks, state management methodologies, component architecture, and design systems.

• Code Quality: Champion the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. Conduct regular code reviews and offer mentorship to team members.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to grasp requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure timely feature delivery.

• Strategy and Vision: Play a role in shaping the engineering department's strategy and vision, contributing innovative ideas to enhance customer-facing experiences.

• Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical issues, innovate solutions, and optimize existing systems for scalability and performance.

• Team Development: Mentor and support team members, aiding their growth in technical roles and career paths.

• AI Enablement: Utilize AI-native tools and methods to accelerate development speed, enhance product capabilities, and improve engineering efficiency throughout the software lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, demonstrating a successful history of building and evolving complex, high-scale systems and customer-facing applications.

• Strong full-stack expertise, with proficiency in:

• Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript

• Backend: JavaScript, Java, Golang

• Proven experience in mentoring senior-level engineers regularly, leading to substantial outcomes.

• Extensive experience in AWS-based cloud architecture environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.

• Familiarity with AI-native tools that enhance productivity and efficiency (Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, etc.).

• Capability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in designing high-traffic web applications and scalable distributed services.

• Proven track record in working with multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• A proactive owner who is willing to engage in coding and review the work of others.

• Ability to implement customer-facing solutions that address genuine customer needs with outstanding user experiences.
