Staff DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS and GCP.

• Develop and enhance Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud networking environments.

• Standardize infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and GitOps methodologies.

• Optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, and Better Stack.

• Fortify security measures, disaster recovery plans, and platform resilience.

• Lead platform strategy while actively participating in implementation.

• Enhance developer productivity through automation and self-service infrastructure solutions.

• Collaborate with the CTO, architects, and engineering teams across Hubstaff’s global SaaS platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with production cloud infrastructure at scale using AWS; familiarity with GCP is an advantage.

• Proficient in Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Helm, and contemporary GitOps practices.

• Proven experience in building reliable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or comparable tools.

• Background in supporting production environments with PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed systems.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of networking, IAM, encryption, disaster recovery, and cloud security best practices.

• Comfortable supporting applications developed with Ruby on Rails, Go, Rust, or Node.js.

• Experienced in resolving complex infrastructure challenges through automation and ownership.

• Familiarity with scaling infrastructure for a high-growth SaaS product is a plus.

• Experience in building or advancing a platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps function is a plus.

• Proven track record of leading cloud modernization or infrastructure transformation initiatives is a plus.

• Knowledge of GitOps, service mesh technologies, serverless platforms, data platforms, or ETL workloads is a plus.

• Ability to excel in a fully remote, async-first engineering culture.
