Staff Deployment Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead discovery sessions with customer stakeholders to uncover business challenges, data and governance gaps, and opportunities for AI automation.

• Prototype and validate AI agent solutions utilizing Alation’s configuration-first platform.

• Establish KPIs and data-driven value metrics that connect technical efforts to customer outcomes.

• Design scalable and maintainable configuration-first solutions within customer ecosystems.

• Oversee the delivery of complex deployments across various workstreams, stakeholders, and system integrations from discovery to consumption.

• Drive enablement, integrate workflows, reinforce governance, and develop change plans to embed solutions effectively.

• Facilitate impactful workshops and decision-making processes amidst conflicting stakeholder objectives.

• Proactively manage scope, risk, and interdependencies across workstreams.

• Provide structured feedback on products to enhance the platform and delivery playbooks.

• Contribute to Executive Business Reviews by presenting results and impacts supported by data.

• Identify opportunities for expansion and collaborate with the account team.

• Develop reusable patterns, accelerators, and playbooks for fellow Deployment Strategists.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years in management consulting (strategy, operations, tech) or in solution roles at data platform companies.

• Hands-on experience with data; proficiency in SQL is a must.

• Familiarity with Python, APIs, and contemporary data architectures.

• Capability to read code, utilize SQL, and build in low/no-code platforms.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams without the need to write production software.

• Excellent communication skills and a strong presence when engaging with Director/Sr. Director-level stakeholders.

• Proven history of constructing and deploying low/no-code solutions from prototype to production.

• Strong problem-solving skills across various workstreams, systems, and stakeholders.

• A working understanding of AI agent patterns, LLMs, data governance, and metadata management is preferred.

• A technical undergraduate or graduate degree is preferred; an advanced degree such as an MBA or technical Master’s is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel for onsite customer and prospect visits approximately 15–30% of the time.
