Staff Data Scientist – Risco de Crédito

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, and deploy complex high-performance tabular models, strictly focused on classification and credit risk problems.

• Ensure the complete lifecycle of models (end-to-end), from raw data manipulation and extraction to monitoring and operational support in a production environment.

• Investigate and intervene promptly and practically in real-world scenarios of failure or degradation of production models, ensuring the resilience of credit operations.

• Utilize advanced model interpretability techniques to translate complex statistical behaviors into clear inputs for business decision-making.

• Serve as an advanced technical reference (Staff), raising the standards of engineering and data modeling for the entire data scientist team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical Experience in Production: A solid background in deploying large-scale tabular models in real production environments.

• Mastery of Boosting Algorithms: In-depth practical knowledge in the development and calibration of algorithms such as XGBoost and LightGBM.

• Interpretability Tools: Advanced technical proficiency in utilizing explainability frameworks, specifically SHAP.

• Proficiency in SQL: Ability to perform complex data manipulations directly, efficiently, and effectively (building clean queries, complex aggregations, and optimization).

• Intermediate English proficiency.
